i also love how many shoujo ichiruki scenes there are.

and probably a lot more i’m too lazy to look for.

seriously, though.  kubo drew scenes like these and had to indicate to his editors that he wanted a shoujo background.  who does that without having the full intention of having readers interpret that as a shoujo scene.

and we all know shoujo = love.

now ichihime shippers will say ‘there’s a shoujo background when orihime *almost* kissed ichigo!’  yes, but that kind of requires a shoujo background without question.

with these scenes, a shoujo background wasn’t even required, yet it was put there anyway.

and that’s why ichiruki is canon.

i love how it would take little to no effort on kubo’s part to get ichigo and rukia together.  like it would srsly take one chapter, because their relationship is so strong already.
